Worldwide Dungeons and Dragons Gameday

Grab your trusty d20s and head off to the Castle for an action-packed day of D&D fun. Regardless of whether you are a veteran dice-slinger or just giving D&D a try, we'll have everything you need to enjoy a full day of adventure, combat, trivia, and more.

Dive into 4th Edition with Into the Shadowhaunt, an adventure that sends five 1st-level characters out to save innocent lives and thwart the evil plans of a power-hungry elf. In addition, you can test the mettle of your adventuring party against the might of a White Dragon in a toe-to-talon battle that'll give you a chance to really flex your 4th Edition powers and abilities.

Cherry Creek Arts Festival

For three days during the July 4th holiday weekend, the nation's #1 outdoor arts festival is presented in in Denver's prestigious Cherry Creek North neighborhood. The Cherry Creek Arts Festival (CCAF) is a year-round non-profit arts services organization whose mission is to provide access to a broad array of arts experiences and support arts education in Colorado. This year, the Festival will be held Friday through Sunday, July 4th-6th. The Festival Hours will be 10:00 am to 8:00 pm on Friday and Saturday and 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday.

Sunday

3:00 pm - Join us for our Yo-Yo Club and experience weekly storefront contests as well as tips and tricks for all skill levels from beginner to advanced. Come down and get prepared for the 12th Annual Rocky Mountain Yo-Yo and Spin Top Championships to be on Saturday, June 28th. Click here for details on the Annual Championships.

Monday

3:00 pm - Magic: the Gathering open play! Come on down to the store, hang out, sling cards, talk shop and have fun! Are you just getting into the game? Have you been cracking packs since Alpha? Whether you're looking for some quick duels or some giant Chaos multiplayer action, everyone is welcome! Bonus points if you bring your Elder Dragon Highlander deck!

Thursday

6:00 pm - Game Night at the Castle

Interested in a board game you've seen at The Wizard's Chest? Come by for Game Night! Bring a game and some friends or try out one of ours! On past Thursdays we've played StarCraft, Arkham Horror, Puerto Rico, Settlers of Catan, Apples to Apples and more!

Samurai, Shugenja and fearsome Oni vie for control of the land of Rokugan, with the players controlling the fates of heroes and villains on both sides! The Wizard's Chest hosts open play of the Legend of the Five Rings collectible card game.

Keep an eye out for other special events on Thursday nights, including MechWarrior, Pirates and HeroClix events!

Friday

7:00 pm - FNM Booster Drafts

The entry fee is $20. Every participant will receive product, card sleeves, and a $10 gift certificate for the store. Exclusive foil prizes from Wizards of the Coast will be given for:

          • First Place
          • Second Place
          • Random Door Prize (2)

Additional prizes:
This event will always be run with a "Picks" prize distribution. At the conclusion of the appropriate number of Swiss rounds, all of the rare cards and foils are turned back in and then distributed back to the players through picks based on the order they placed in the tournament. The picks loop on this number, so the better you place, the better the prize, yet everyone playing in the event will receive something. 

Phone or Email reservations accepted. First come, first serve. Each tournament will be limited to two pods of eight players (16 people total). No walk-in entries will be accepted if the event is full.

Please call ahead if you are running late, and contact us via telephone at least 4 hours prior to the start of an event, if you cannot attend.
